WAYNE KELLY PAINTING

Depicting the thirteen Catholic School communities of the Kimberley, with Beagle Bay, the original at the centre, and speaks of the people evangelising each other (West to East) in companionship with the Religious Orders and others. The artist, Wayne, was an Aboriginal teacher. He painted it when teaching at Sacred Heart School, Beagle Bay. Wayne was married to Rose Victor at the time, sister of Doris, and Mary O’Reeri.
